Rec Soccer General Information
Rec program is open to boys and girls ages 4-14.
Spring Season April 15-May 18, 2024
Tournament is May 16-18
$75 per player
DEADLINE MARCH 31
Athletes must be 4 years old BY THE FIRST GAME
Boys play Mondays or Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
Girls Play Monday or Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.
Approximately 2 games per week.
Uniform kits can be purchased when registering ($7 per item)
COACHES ARE VOLUNTEER AND USUALLY PARENTS
Rec Coaches
Coaches are not provided. Rec Coaches are all VOLUNTEER. If we don't have someone sign up to coach your child's team we will be asking for parent volunteers from that team's roster to step up and coach. Please be patient and understanding with them.
All coaches are volunteers, if you are interested in coaching then we will allow you to request 2 players on your team (usually your child and one of their friends) as long as they are born in the same year. Coaches duties entail communicating with their team, being present at games and having at least one practice/team meeting before the season starts.
MSU Women Soccer Team will run practices for all registered rec players on three separate dates in September (times/dates TBA).
Required Equipment
- Shin guards
- Socks to cover shin guards
- soccer cleats or tennis shoes (no cleats with toe cleats like those used in baseball, softball, or football)
- club rec uniform
- water bottles are a good idea
Club Practices
Practices available to ALL REGISTERED rec players. Practices will be led by MSU head coach TJ Perez and his players. Location will be top of the hill on Optimist Soccer Complex. Dates are Monday April 15th, Monday April 22nd, Monday April 29th, Monday May 6th and Monday May 13th.
