Recreational Soccer

Spring 2020 Rec Season

Registration is CLOSED. The season start date has been pushed back to JUNE 1. We will be collecting registrations through Friday MAY 22 .  The end of the season tournament will be held June 26-28

**REC will be open this season to kids 14 and younger!!**

Games will be weeknights Monday through Thursday between 4:30pm and 7:30 pm. GIRLS will play games on Mondays and Wednesdays and BOYS will play games on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The Governor of North Dakota has moved us into Stage 2 of the federal Open Up America program.  With this change we can begin to once again have soccer according to the guidelines set out by both the CDC and the North Dakota Department of Health. It is very important that parents and players help us, as a club, follow this policy so we can limit the number of cases in our area. All rec coaches, refs, and players (parents) will need to sign a waiver of liability form for COVID-19 BEFORE participating. The waiver will be emailed out and signed electronically.

As per the guidelines:

  1. When ANYONE IN THE FAMILY is feeling sick, STAY HOME!!
  2. We will be operating at 50% capacity by keeping boys and girls playing on different evenings.
  3. The schedule will be set up to allow games being played on every other field, meaning their will be an empty field between games.
  4. We request that Parents and spectators be limited (less is better) in number and space themselves out at least 6 feet from other families. Please do not allow children not playing to run around. They need to be supervised at all times.
  5. All attendees are encouraged to wear cloth masks.
  6. Have personal hand sanitizer with you at the park.
  7. Players will try to not touch the ball with their hands unless they are in GOALIE gloves. For this reason, we will NOT do throw-ins from the side-lines, but rather place the ball on the sideline and KICK it in.
  8. No hand-shakes, High-fives or huddles before, during, or after the games.
  9. The concession stand will be marked with cones at least 6 feet apart while standing in line.

Rec Coaches

Coaches are not provided. Rec Coaches are all VOLUNTEER. If we don't have someone sign up to coach your child's team we will be asking for parent volunteers from that team's roster to step up and coach.  Please be patient and understanding with them.

Coaches may or may not have practices during the season. We encourage them to practice, but they don't have to.

Required Equipment

  • Shin guards
  • Socks to cover shin guards
  • soccer cleats or tennis shoes (no cleats with toe cleats like those used in baseball, softball, or football)
  • club rec uniform
  • water bottles are a good idea
